Mix ins for these maple blondies-

These blondies are perfect with just their rich maple flavor but they are also great with other flavors mixed in! Some great additions are chopped nuts like pecans or walnuts. Chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and butterscotch chips are also delicious additions! You can also add dried fruit like cranberries or even apples!

How to store these maple blondies-

These blondies are best stored in an airtight container. They will keep well for several days.

Tips for these blondies-

Let them cool completely-

I know it is tempting to cut into these as soon as they come out of the oven but they need to cool and set so that they are the perfect texture and don’t fall apart.

Serve them with ice cream-

For an extra special treat warm up your blondies and top them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of extra maple syrup!

Use real maple syrup-

For this recipe you need to use pure maple syrup not pancake syrup. Some “syrup” is just corn syrup with maple flavoring. It will not result in the right flavor or texture in these blondies.

Don’t overmix-

For brownies and blondies you don’t want to overmix the batter. Whipping too much air into the batter can alter the fudgy chewy texture. You can mix them by hand using a whisk or wooden spoon or use an electric mixer on low speed.

Here’s what you’ll need for these mapleblondies:

Maple Blondies- Chewy & Delicous (3)

1- Cup Maple Syrup ( the real stuff!!)

1/2- Cup Brown Sugar

1- Egg

6- Tbsp. Butter- melted

2- tsp. Vanilla

2- Cups Flour

1/2- tsp Baking Powder

1/4- tsp Salt

Get your oven heating to 350 and grease an 8×8 baking dish or line with parchment paper.

Now we’re going to reduce the maple syrup a bit on the stove. In a small pan bring the syrup to a boil over med/high heat. Make sure you keep a close eye on it, once it gets boiling it likes to foam up and try to boil over, you can give it a stir or reduce the heat a little if it does. Keep it boiling for about 10 minutes or about 1/4 cup is evaporated. Once that’s done remove it from the heat to cool.

In a large mixing bowl using an electric mixer or stand mixer on low combine your butter, egg, vanilla extract and brown sugar. In a medium bowl combine baking powder and salt and flour. Alternate adding the flour mixture and maple syrup to the butter mixture and mixing well after each addition until it is all well blended.

Once everything is well combined pour it into your prepared pan.

Pop it in the oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out of the center clean. It should be a nice golden brown at this point.

Let them cool completely Cut into squares and enjoy!!

If you have any left (which you probably won’t!) store them in an airtight container.

Go now! Make these mapleblondies!! Then come on back and let me know if your family loves them as much as mine does!
