Synopsis

Queen Poppy and Branch make a surprising discovery — there are other Troll worlds beyond their own, and their distinct differences create big clashes between these various tribes. When a mysterious threat puts all of the Trolls across the land in danger, Poppy, Branch, and their band of friends must embark on an epic quest to create harmony among the feuding Trolls to unite them against certain doom.

Right let me explain something to you. As the #1 Dreamworks fan around (I was literally weeping during the 25 years celebration at the beginning) I have to say this movie is probably the best movie ever made (at least until the inevitable sequel which will blow my mind again 🤯). You get to see trolls have fun. You get to see trolls give birth! You get to see the trolls dance to famous hits like “one more time” by daft punk, and it’s just as sh*t as it sounds.

Started as something that felt like a demon wrapped in Lisa Frank stickers and it continued that way and eventually ended that way as well.
It’s oddly surreal: some trolls have sentient tears, one troll sh*ts out a whole birthday cake, at one point one of the characters meets God, there’s a call out post for white people erasing the musical history of black people and stealing their music, a kpop vs reggae battle... honestly nothing surprised me after 20 minutes.
It has a wholesome message about accepting diversity and getting along. Questionable ending but the bright colors were distracting enough that I don’t care.
